I'm informed that Clare Symonds married name is Kyndt, could still be a coincidence tho.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
So there are two Clare Kyndts in Edinburgh?
What are the odds of that?
What are the odds of that?
Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
More of a splicing, I'm further informed. Something to do with drummers in the woods and a commune in Stanley Road. Apparently they are friends of our two best known activists. You know they ones, anti-school bods?
On reflection it does seem an almighty coincidence; two Clare Kyndt's in Edinburgh- that seems less likely than two DC Cairns. It's difficult to predict the odds accurately.
Anyhoo- If Clare does get better and decides to present to PCC in the New Year. Perhaps it woudl be a good idea to rent a Russ Abbot or Matthew kelly outfit for John Stewart and Clare can announce "Tonight Russ/Matthew I'm going to be.................."

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
But Clare Symonds doesn't go by the name Kyndt. If she did you'd get more than 38 Google hits for the name, 34 of them for someone in Devon and the rest about the letter in the Evening News.
I'm afraid all you've got is conjecture.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Unless this is a coincidence - this would mean that the person coming to speak to the PCC on Planning Democracy, wrote to the EEN about PHS on the park under a different name! Just as well they did not call themselves Planning Transparency.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
I had a quick peek at the Planning Democracy. I was interested in establishing what their credentials are, for doling out guidance on matters planning. The headline is:
"Years of experience in planning issues"- 2000 objections, over 10 years, with no success, would meet the required criteria.
Not overly impressive
However, It doesn't mention adopting different names for different occassions, so I guess this is just a coincidence.
"THREE community councils"- whoopiedoooWho we are
We are a group of volunteers who include representatives of three community councils with years of experience in planning issues. Some of us have worked in the non-governmental sector, others have experience in the business world.

So anyway, all this coincidence and conjecture is too much for me, are we any nearer knowing where the PCATs money ended up? Just asking.
Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Quite right to ask.
Planning D revenue was around 11k. Pcats had 3k plus left over from 2006. Viridor is. 15k plus. The public don't know what happens with those funds. There's no transparency and it's a lot of cash. Have they donated to planning democracy.

Just to clarify - in Scotland a married woman never loses the right to use her maiden name. In fact, you can legally call yourself anything you want, as long as there is no intention to deceive.Pal of Porty wrote:Unless this is a coincidence - this would mean that the person coming to speak to the PCC on Planning Democracy, wrote to the EEN about PHS on the park under a different name! Nah that's rubbish Seashell. When a bird get's married she uses the guy's name (and does a wee bit cleaning)!

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Your right Seashell and you POP. A married woman can call herself anything she wants and her man can do the same, even when the ceremony is in the woods. Most women take the male partners name, (I remember when a girl I was at Uni with: Purple MacPherson got married to Robert Cock) I couldn't believe she went for it, although she did use her middle name thereafter, phew.
Not sure what happens with same sex couples, who does the cleaning?
Must be quite thrilling to have two names, does one write the letter before deciding who it's from?

Well, there's another tale. Originally, her mum and dad deciided on Aroused. On the way to the registrars office her dad made the connection that many people would have......and changed it to Floppy,

Purple Aroused McPherson would have been better as they could have called her PAM.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Surely any self-respecting bloke makes his bird do all the cleaning and cooking? And the washing too. Just like his Mum did for him. Why waste good boozing time?Pal of Porty wrote:Nah that's rubbish Seashell. When a bird get's married she uses the guy's name (and does a wee bit cleaning)!
Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
All this chat about washing and cleaning is making me feel unwell.

Seashell- can people get married in the woods- officially and legally?
A lot of people have asked if Robert and Purple are still together, I'm afraid not. He went awry after a few years and she left him, she's now married to John Patch. And Robert also remarried.
