Noticed the Sue Ryder shop was shut. Maybe they're moving into the Red Giant for a bigger, better charity retail experience

Ironically, Sue Ryder closed because of competition from other charity shops. Have we finally reached saturation point?

If it's the same one, they've got a good name for themselves. Looking forward to paying them a visit...

I wonder why they chose Portobello... :drunken:

They are moving into the premises that used to be 'Mulberries' and 'Bonoful' is taking over the Brighton Place shop.
Good to see local businesses expanding rather than another charity shop opening.
Confirmation that Bonoful are expanding Hats off for takeaway

Yes, the one in Fisherrow is very good and smaller than the Portobello one will be, so should have a good stock.

Both Punch pubs. You would need to off your head to get involved with them. I heard on fairly good authority that almost 40% of their pubs in Edinburgh are closed at present !!

Not only Edinburgh. I know from personal experience that they like shutting pubs down in Liverpool too - as well as everywhere else no doubt.

They're also holding a wine tasting evening in the Dalriada on Wed 12 Sep when Abigail Lambert will "describe some of the amazing wines in their company portfolio".

Tickets available on 0131 665 0088
