How do I remember Smiley codes?

Is it possible to 'store' links to some or all of the smiley things locally for use in posts, so that you do not have to download the whole shebang if you want to search for one?

(or two) (or three)

It doesn't really matter on a huge broadband line but it does on a wee one...

Pen'n'paper! Seriously the big click list of smilies only inserts a code into the messge text - you can remember this code and insert it manually too.

When you click on the smiley it's inserted into the message - for example for the big smile you'd type :lol: and (from the extra ones) for one of the angel ones :angel4:
