Ice Cream

Post by Scotsman_Essex » 11 Nov 2004, 01:20

I noticed the last time I was in Portobello that Arcari's was still there.
I used to love their ice cream with the raspberry sauce.
Heaven knows what it was made of

Many decades ago, we used to use Tony's cafe (Demarco's in the High Street), but I noticed it had gone the last time I was there.
I'll never forget the hot peas & vinegar. I hated the smell!

But the coffee was good and so was the company! :P

Ah.... two of my most potent memories :

A hot peas special and an orange ice lolly from Arcari's that you could suck all the juice out of until it was just a lump of white ice on a stick!!
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.
