Portobello Architecture Exhibition

Post by selawson » 15 Nov 2012, 12:05

Everyone,

I am the current student rep for Edinburgh University Masters of Architecture. The current masters unit have been looking at the architecture of Portobello to better understand the area. I was wondering if there is any public interets in seeing some of the proposals from the students work? Our current project is to design a conceptual house to encompass the key features of Portobello. I am hoping to arrange an exhibition in which students would pin up there work, talk to anyone is interested and receive some feedback on what matters in Portobello. It would be a highly sociable event in which the students could chat with residents.

The event would hopefully be around the 2nd week in December. If there are any suggestions for exhibition place and if in fact people would like to attend. I would be grateful if anyone could spred the word and maybe suggest a location/suitable date.

Kind Regards,
Sarah Lawson.

Hi Sarah - you could try The Tide Art Gallery - they have exhibition space and might be able to help you.

That would be interesting - another place to consider would be the library.

"Our current project is to design a conceptual house to encompass the key features of Portobello", You're having a laugh... Nothing gets built here without the say so of the inner cabal..
