Bad Habits

Post by Sandra » 05 May 2005, 13:48

Dont you just hate when someone has a very loud telephone conversation on their mobile on the bus that everyone can hear? Especially when it lasts for most of the journey?

Yes, the most memorable occasions for me was on a No 26 going into town one Saturday afternoon. There was a young girl up the front of the top deck having a loud conversation with her pal whom she arranged to meet outside the toilets in the bus station. The friend obviously questioned the rendez-vous point, to which the girl on the bus exclaimed loudly, "Cos I'm burstin' for a pee!" at which the whole bus fell silent and she looked up mightily embarrassed.

Pity more folk don't show some embarrassment at the things they shout into their mobiles in their apparently sound-proof bubbles.

The worst bad habit IMHO has to be men (and the occasional woman) picking their noses in cars (or anywhere for that matter)..vile :sad3:

Do they think nobody can see them? #-o

Every morning on the bus to work I seem to be unfortunate enough to pick a seat in front of someone who either sniffs, snorts or coughs throughout the journey.

But are you aware of the grief you get if you do it at home?

By the way,

I was looking at the various sized magnoliettes the other day as they carried out their constant daily picking, and comparing their size with my own (oo er missus) and I pondered deeply on the evolutionary fact that as you get bigger, so your nostrils and fingers grow in sympathy, one to another, such that one will always fit snugly within the other.
