Absolutely! Wow! I wish I'd known he was going to be in Portobello! When you watched him, football really was 'the beautiful game'.

He looks like Mathew Kelly now a wee bit, he said that Zico, Falcao, Eder and maybe Bebeto are coming to join him play for Garforth a non-league side near Leeds - unbelievable!!

That would be worth travelling to Garforth for!

Have a look here How do I post an image? Davie. Look forward to seeing your photos. Not many people can claim to have captained Brazil while smoking 80 fags a day (and being a handsome Dr. as a plus point).
God certainly smiled on him when he was allocating talents :D

Have you not got access to a computer at home Davie? If not, have you thought of using the computer facilities in Porty Library?

Let me help you out there Dave

I met him and have to say he seemed a thoroughly decent guy, gave loads of time to sign autographs and loved his Albert Kidd t-shirt. didn't see him smoking though.

Hmm, I wouldn't quite call a guy who scored 2 own goals which in turn caused Hearts the league a legend.

That's the thing - it's nothing at all to do with Hibs (I'm presuming MonkeyBoy's a Hibs supporter). It's the same sad mentality of (some) Scots defining themself as being "not English". We didn't win, but they didn't either. Hibs are great because Hearts lost the league?!?

One of these things that annoy me.

I was assuming Davie Bhoy is a 'tic fan. Didn't Albert Kidd's wee mistakes ensure The Bhoys won the league?
:D
Still, it was Monkeyboy that gave the tee-shirt so point taken Wangi .....

Well, I don't know whose pictures they are, but the "hibeesbounce" splatted along the botom kinda paints them as a Hibs supporter! And Celtic aren't local.

2 own goals to cause Hearts the league? Um... not sure what you're talking about.

I apologise to anyone who was offended by my previous avatar, I was requested to change it by an admin. I personally didn't think it was that bad but sorry anyhoo. :)

As said over in the Christmas Avatar thread, I didn't mind it but was so concerned with working out if the gunman was Al or not that the mindless violence and bloodshed was kinda lost on me!

Best to bow to an Admin request otherwise they might come round and attack you in your bathroom with a chainsaw.

Actually you're wrong, again. Celebrating Albert Kidd's goals is more about winding up fans of our local rivals. Who said Hibs are great? Not me.

As someone who has already revealed himself to be less than knowledgable on the subject, perhaps it would be best to keep your opinions to yourself. Abusing someone you don't even know is, in my book, sad. Just one of those things that annoy me.

No, we were just gonna send my brothers round...

Monkeyboy, whilst we hope you weren't offended, this is a forum open to people of all ages, not to mention our general sensibilities, and avatars depicting violence from a film an eleven year old would not be allowed to see cannot really be allowed on the forum. Some of us have children we would not allow to see such images and we don't expect to have them see it when they have a look at the forum. Besides, posting guidelines do say we should avoid explicitly violent language, and I think it's reasonable to assume that should extend to avatars... *ducks quickly*

No problem, I wasn't offended at all and completely understand your point of view. I just mentioned it as a genuine apology in case anyone was upset by it. Sometimes I just forget where I am. :toothy10:

Thanks pal.

Yeah, I'm a wee bit messed up on the facts - but that's pub knowledge for you. Still nothing to do with Hibs though, and I think that was my main point...

I refer to my earlier post. I agree, nothing to do with Hibs other than they are our local rivals and it's nice to take them down a peg or two occasionally.
