Had a cold call from a kitchen firm the other week. Sunday so got their 'professional kitchen designer' (ie salesman) round for the afternoon. 4 hours of sales patter and I missed the first 15 minutes of that night's American Footbal (damn) but at least got a half decent kitchen design that I can no...

D - Gospelly church on Bonnington Road opposite Foxes Bar what about it? This programme is getting like one of those charismatic/evangelical/hands-down-if-you-want-coffee churches where everyone tries to outfroth everyone else with their gibbering. Sorry - should have added a bit more to that post ...

Have to say I really liked the Accappella singing from Ben. D - Gospelly church on Bonnington Road opposite Foxes Bar C - I agree about 'don't knock it until you tried it'. Problem is I have tried it, can do it and and can happily knock half the acts which appear on these type of programs - some of ...
I had the same problem just under 2 years ago. Came back from work on a Monday night to find a soaked carpet and water coming through my bedroom ceiling. Was a washing machine in the flat above - he had to get his whole kitchen replaced because of the water. Luckily got it all repaired and a new car...

Not at all. I totalyy agree with everything you say. The question that I was trying to ask related to the specific scotmid store in leith walk. I'm doiing this from memory but does that store have a Tesco Metro and some others in the immediate vicinity, therefore competition is close by and there a...

Errrr Not with you there Porty. Surely Scotmid are no more pressured then any other supermarket. Tesco's is pressured by Sainsburys who're pressured by Waitrose who're pressured by Morrison's who're pressured by Tesco's. Maybe Scotmid a little because they are smaller, but tough, it's there job to f...

Tesco Metro is generally pretty good. The small one near me is a 2 minutes walking distance and houses most things I need for a quick meal or at 8am on a Sunday morning. Much more likely to find what I want then in the huge Scotmid across the road which forever seems to have 30000 tins of baked bean...

A lot of the bus lanes seem totally unnecessery. OK on Queen Street/York Place and maybe towards West End/Haymarket there might be a point but the one that seems silly to me (and appologies this is moving it further afield) is Ferry Road. There are about 3 routes along here (21, 7 and 14) 1 bus ever...

Think I may have missed I possible spladoosh the other day. I was at a meeting at Edinburgh City Council's Sports department on Wednesday and the guy next to me was the secretary of the golf club. I know this because the gold club/school debat was brought up. Does the guilty part reside on this forum?

It may not by IE - BT have been fiddling with peoples line's recently ("ADSL maxing" them). Increases bandwidth and good for web pages/youtube etc but reliability has taken a hit. My 8 year old had his old fashioned wordrope collapse on top of him, it was a major event. I had to do my Superman bit and lift it up while Mrs PoP pulled him free. Question Time
I didn't realise the BBC 2 Thursday comedy block continued onto BBC1. Did anyone checkout Clive Anderson's glare when Tommy was ranting about North Korea - a strange combination of 'you are so wrong' and 'I want to punch him'.
Very funny

Does that include kids of 26? If not does anyone know where they do adult sessions?? Have always fancied doing a bit of capoeira - seems to be a good combination of rhythem, martial arts and fitness.Bellybabe wrote:open sessions for kids aged five and up.

Watched the last half. Have to say I'm amazed a team that last I checked were something like 208th in the rankings, have just beaten (convincingly) a team who were in the last world cup final.
