Re: The shops thread (was: Empty Shops on Porty High St)
The Jolly is a time warp for me back to when I was a child and my granny used to take us for minestrone, a half and half and the ice cream in a little silver dish with strawberry sauce. I take my 7 yr old now and he gets the free lollies and flat juice lol. Not been in the jolly for a long time, an...

Re: New Portobello High School - Private Bill Porty Park
I'm genuinely scunnered with Avril Scott and Gillian Dunn . BIOB continue to broadcast lies, defend lies and all for what? Delay the replacement of a school which was 5 years ago identified as being in the worst condition in Edinburgh. Not the ladies fault obviously and they are entitled to oppose t...

Re: Visit Portobello (and let your dog shit everywhere)
This all begs the question: If you are a pet owner who can't be bothered picking up your pets shit, why a dog?. Get yourself a seagull. Nobody gives too hoots about them shitting on the beach.

Re: Woodwares closing / Sainsburys coming to Portobello
Unfortunately my tripping over and trodding on things unseen is only going to get worse. I'm currently taking out about 5 or 6 "wet floor" signs, per week. Trodding on a visually impaired person's guide dog, is highly embarrassing but not quite as bad tripping over a guide dog and knocking the owner...

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Seashell- can people get married in the woods- officially and legally?
A lot of people have asked if Robert and Purple are still together, I'm afraid not. He went awry after a few years and she left him, she's now married to John Patch. And Robert also remarried.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Your right Seashell and you POP. A married woman can call herself anything she wants and her man can do the same, even when the ceremony is in the woods. Most women take the male partners name, (I remember when a girl I was at Uni with: Purple MacPherson got married to Robert Cock) I couldn't believ...

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
Quite right to ask.
Planning D revenue was around 11k. Pcats had 3k plus left over from 2006. Viridor is. 15k plus. The public don't know what happens with those funds. There's no transparency and it's a lot of cash. Have they donated to planning democracy.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
More of a splicing, I'm further informed. Something to do with drummers in the woods and a commune in Stanley Road. Apparently they are friends of our two best known activists. You know they ones, anti-school bods? On reflection it does seem an almighty coincidence; two Clare Kyndt's in Edinburgh- th...

I googled "symonds kyndt" and got:
http://www.venturescotland.org.uk/garde ... uary11.htm
A Clare Symonds and a Jerome Kyndt attended the same gardening training course at Venture Scotland back in 2011. I wouldn't read too mulch into it tho.

Re: Planning Democracy (Scottish Charity SC041051)
That is a coincidence. The same thing happened on my PC, which suggests it is not exclusive to yours.
One may have expected more famous Clare's to appear higher in the search. Clare Balding for example. Although, not sure why Clare Balding would be writing to the EN about PHS?

Re: New Portobello High School - Private Bill Porty Park
Call me a cynic, call me suspicious, or just call my comprehension skills into question, but is it a coincidnece that since the bragged about, and subsequently condoned, "do one" episode, things have gone a tad quite on here? Scoop, I wasn't bragging. It was a pre-emptive strike. I wanted to get th...

Avril is fully aware of what was said; "Do One"- that's it. If she cares to check the urban dicionary it means "go away". You had to be there.
Alternatively, one could make stuff up and pretend it's true. You've proven time and time again that facts have little or no influence on your dubious judgment calls. This is just the latest example.

It's a consultation. DC sets up a high street stall if a seagull shits on the beach. Why are they talking to us not the others in the community whose support they desperately need.

if it is £8k per request and DC's was made on behalf of Portobello Community Council. We have PCC wasting our money, it is simply not on. Re: New Portobello High School - Private Bill Porty Park
Yes she did and she may have done us all a favour. If the council are employing people to ignore the source of an FOI request and go search for a different source, where it possibly may have come from, then we should know about it. Seems like a waste of time and money.
